Ch-ch-ch-changes! ending, moving, beginning a new chapter starts
This is the “excuse for not posting since April” post, and I am obviously cheating with the “ch-ch-ch” but I decided to allow it because my bigger goal was to acknowledge that I officially ended my internship in Redding, moved, and started work in Bakersfield (four plus weeks ago).
My time in Redding was more fun and informative than I ever could have imagined, and I could not be more excited to be working for the BLM in Bakersfield. More adventures, opportunities, and fun await!
I am thrilled to announce that I was selected for a year-long fellowship with the Bureau of Land Management in Redding, California through the American Conservation Experience. My year of service starts September 8, and I will be in California before the end of August. I can hardly wait!
Inertia is the label I am using to describe what has been keeping me from posting. “I will write a post tomorrow” or “I’ll do it this weekend.” But there have been many tomorrows and weekends without posts, and it seems that each day a post doesn’t happen, the possibility of a post happening at all decreases. It’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy. So in this moment, I am using the force to create a change in state, take that inertia!
