This post is really about the pictures. Before I moved, my east coast friends would ask me where I was going, and I would tell them Redding, California. They replied with a blank look. Then I would say “it’s in Northern California,” and the immediate response was: “Oh, it’s beautiful!” They spoke the truth.
I have included the dates because this is also a celebration of California weather.
Photos from a holiday weekend well spent. Only sour notes: it was over too soon and my flight was delayed last night.
Right now, I am doing one of my favorite things: traveling home to see my parents for a few days. I am in transit at the Charlotte airport, one of my favorites because they have lots of rocking chairs. As an added bonus there is a piano man this time (maybe they thought we needed some extra entertainment with the frenzy of the holiday). Maybe other airports are this nice too, but I have not spent nearly as much time at them as I have CLT.
