Best wishes Cady and Jeff!
Beautiful wedding

On June 5, I had the privilege of being at the wedding of one of my favorite people: Cady, and her wonderful husband Jeff. They were married on Fripp Island off the coast of South Carolina. With sand in our toes and the sound of waves rolling up on the shore, we watched them take their vows. It was a perfect wedding for the two of them.

I hope I will have more pictures to share soon.

(This post also falls under the category of why I have been so behind on posting, particularly because I also took advantage of my more easterly locale to visit my parents in Delaware for four days.)

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

BLM Redding

Ch-ch-ch-changes!
ending, moving, beginning
a new chapter starts

This is the “excuse for not posting since April” post, and I am obviously cheating with the “ch-ch-ch” but I decided to allow it because my bigger goal was to acknowledge that I officially ended my internship in Redding, moved, and started work in Bakersfield (four plus weeks ago).

My time in Redding was more fun and informative than I ever could have imagined, and I could not be more excited to be working for the BLM in Bakersfield. More adventures, opportunities, and fun await!

Weather Report

weatherreport

Sunshine thesaurus:
blazing, plenty, sizzling, hot.
I’m hiding inside.

Although the official start of summer is next week, the heat decided to show up to the party early. I can tell you that the “real feel” is hot hot hot, and I truly am hiding inside. I am also making the switch to morning running, which is the only time it is remotely possible to undertake strenuous outdoor exercise. At least it will be temperate in the winter?

Thank you to my mom for her screenshot of the weather report and comment about the thesaurus, which inspired this post. More posts to come this week, I am playing catch up.
